Events
The driving force behind our full and varied activities program is to ensure there’s never a dull moment. There’s always something new to engage the children and help them learn, all while having fun.
Excursions
Children love exploring and so do we. We organise walks around our neighbourhood, visit the local community garden 19onGreen, along with accessing the neighbouring schools Bike Track for wheels day.
Incursions
The centre hosts incursions for our rooms from providers including: Hey-Dee-Ho Music Program, and Ready Steady Go Sports Program.
We work with the City of Charles Sturt Mobile Library Bus to access the community borrowing system to enable the children to enjoy wider catalogue of literature.
Festivals
A multi-cultural community means fantastic opportunities to celebrate. We mark many important events including Christmas, Easter, Chinese New Year, Full Moon Festival and the Vietnamese New Year. We also celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, Holi, Diwali, Halloween and many others which we encounter through learning about children’s backgrounds.
Birthdays
We also enjoy celebrating your child’s birthday. You are welcome to order a cake, which we have with morning or afternoon tea. The cake fee is $10.00 and children generally sing happy birthday if the child wishes. We also love celebrating our Educators Birthday’s also. Our children come together as a service and present a gift/card to their educators while singing as a group.
End of Year Celebration (December)
We encourage all parents and children to come along and celebrate the end of each year. With a special visit from Santa, everyone has lots of fun.
During the year we hold social gatherings where families are invited to bring a plate of food from other cultures to share with others. This is a great opportunity to network and meet other families. This is generally held on the first Friday evening of December.
Graduation for School Leavers (December)
Our 4-5 Year old pre-schoolers who are part of the 15 hour funded program participate in their graduation ceremony just before they head off to school. Child who opt to attend other services for their preschool/kindergarten funding attend their own graduation with that service. Families who are headed off to school are encouraged to finish with the service at the end of December and transition into OSHC/Vac Care in time for school to ensure they transition smoothly.
Book Fair (November)
Our service hosts the Scholastic Book Fair during November each year. This is a great way to ensure families can access affordable and quality books, but it is also a great way to raise money to allow us to purchase books. In November 2025, our service sold a whopping $1300 worth of books and we were able to purchase over 25 books for our service as a result of the great commission. All thanks to our Families!
